“Havet – Norway Ocean Summit” was hosted earlier this week at the Oslo Opera House, gathering top leaders, decision makers, entrepreneurs and experts from companies and organizations vested in the ocean space. MarMine’s samples from the Mohn’s Ridge were on display – and gathered quite a bit of attention, notably from the H.R.H. The Crown Prince Håkon. The samples recovered from the 2016 MarMine cruise are currently undergoing analysis, but were brought to the summit as part NTNU’s official showcase, and presented by representatives from the NTNU Oceans Pilot Programme on Deep Sea Mining.
