The MarMine cruise has commenced and we are now in transit between Bergen and the Mohn´s Ridge. ETA is Saturday, 20th August at 20:00. At arrival to the first site, we plan to start immediately with a 12 hr ROV survey dive. The main priority for this dive is to survey for good spots for landing the ROV mounted drill rig for test drilling and the first real drilling. Further, ROV video transects will be made, where e.g. the ROV mounted UHI will be tested. Following the ROV survey is the initial core drilling testing.

The time during transit is used to prepare for the upcoming dives. ROV and drill crews are preparing their equipment, while the geologists and biologists are planning their surveys and sampling during the dives.

We are looking forward to arrive at site and start the sampling.
