Ammar Ghanim has started as a PhD candidate at the Department. Ammar completed his B.Sc. in Geoinformatics and Geophysics and his M.Sc. in Geophysics from TU Bergakademie Freiberg in Germany. He completed his M.Sc. thesis titled «Probabilistic Pre-Stack Seismic Inversion Using PCube+ Algorithm: a Case Study from Onshore Nile Delta» in cooperation with Wintershall Dea. Ammar has just started as a PhD student at IGP and is currently working on a project titled «Automated facies classification through applying machine-learning to pre-stack seismic data». He is working in the BRU21 research programme. The PhD position is sponsored by Wintershall Dea. Read more about BRU21 here
