Przemyslaw B. Kowalczuk hired as an Adjunct Associate Professor

Przemyslaw B. Kowalczuk (Pshem) has been hired as an Adjunct Associate Professor in mineral processing and extractive metallurgy at the Department of Geoscience and Petroleum at NTNU. He was previously hired at NTNU as a postdoc in mineral processing of marine minerals. He obtained a master degree in materials science, and PhD and DSc (habilitation) in mining and geological engineering from Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. Currently, he is an associate professor and deputy head of the Department of Analytical Chemistry and Chemical Metallurgy of Wroclaw University of Science and Technology.  His main interest is mineral processing and extractive metallurgy with special focus on processing of marine minerals, physicochemical aspects of naturally hydrophobic particulates, flotation reagents as well as application of sensor-based sorting for analysis and preconcentration of different types of ores. At NTNU he will be participating in several European projects (EIT RM Reflux Flotation Cell; Harare; EIT RM DSM-Summer School), supervising students, PhDs and postdocs.
