Head of Department Egil Tjåland is interviewed by enerWE.
He commented on the recruitment to petroleum studies and the BRU21 program, that will prepare multidisciplinary specialists in the corresponding areas to increase efficiency, safety and environmental care in all operations in oil and gas activities.
On the 28th of November, NTNU became a core partner in EIT Raw Materials, which is a European initiative to strengthen innovation and education in the raw material sector by supporting new talents and new ideas through Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs). As a partner, NTNU can apply for funding for upscaling and educational projects, attend matchmaking and networking events as well as receive support in business creation. Solution Seeker is an offspring company from the IO Center at NTNU based on project results within production optimization developed by Bjarne Foss and Vidar Gunnerud. The company is at an early stage of development but has already contracts with four oil companies for optimization of well production for their oil fields. Their last contract has just been entered into with the French company ENGIE.
