Katie Aurand is qualified for the national final of Researcher Grand Prix

Trondheim 29.09.2016 : NTNU arrangerer regional finale i Forsker Grand Prix på Byscenen i Trondheim. Ni doktorgradsstipendiater ved NTNU konkurrerer i forskningsformidling, to går videre til nasjonal finale. Katie Aurand ble nr. to med tema: Nanopartiker utnytter oljereservoaret. Foto: Thor NielsenKatie was one of the 9 Ph.D. scholars that NTNU selected for participation in the local qualification round at NTNU  that was arranged last night. As one of the two winners she will participate in the national final competition between the local winners from the other universities to be arranged in Bergen October 1. Congratulations!

Professor Børge Arntsen receives the Geophysicist Award

arntsenDuring the Biannual Geophysical Seminar of the NPF in Kristiansand today, Professor Børge Arntsen from the department was awarded the Norwegian Geophysical Award for his efforts within seismic imaging. This award has been given to 20 outstanding geophysicists since the establishement  in 1984.

The department congratulates Børge with the award!
