Visit from Bandung

itb_2016Dr. Muhammad Rachmat Sule from Institut Teknologi Bandung in Indonesia visited the department today for discussions on research collaboration in the area of  CCS, and on educational collaboration at M.Sc. and Ph.D. levels. Dr. Sule is Project Manager for a CS pilot project in the Gundih area on Java island.

A*STAR visit NTNU

IPT had meetings with A*STAR (Agency for Science, Technology and Research) from Singapore on Thursday 13 October to discuss ongoing and future collaboration. Professor Alfred Huan og Doreen Low fra A*STAR Graduate Academy is in Trondheim visiting several research groups.

Professor Ole Torsæter is at current a Visiting Investigator at A*STAR. From IPT, Professor Ole Torsæter, Professor Jon Kleppe, Laboratory coordinator Georg Voss and Research coordinator Patrick Reurink participated in the meeting. PhD candidate Hamid Hosseinzade Khanamiri is also on the picture.

Visit from Pakistan

jkogmaDr. Muhammad Afzal from the Planning Commission of the Ministry of Planning, Development & Reform  in Pakistan visited the department today for  discussions related to the Norwegian Centre for Excellence in Petroleum Education at the NED University and upcoming energy related projects in Pakistan. Participants from the department were Egil Tjåland, Patrick Reurink and Jon Kleppe.

Visit from NED University of Engineering and Technology

Four faculty members from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, Pakistan are staying at our department for four week to receive training in reservoir engineering, drilling engineering, production engineering and research culture. This is part of the Norwegian Center of Excellence in Petroleum Studies, where NTNU is a partner. The four faculty members are: Dr Javed Haneef, Dr Abdul Majeed, Syed Imran Ali and Abdulahad Manzoor.

Visit from Seoul National University

8 students from Seoul National University within petroleum engineering and naval architecture, together with their head of department and a researcher visited our department on Monday 16 August. This was part of their annual excursion, and they got to know more about education and research within petroleum engineering and geophysics at NTNU. From IPT Milan Stanko and Patrick Reurink participated, together with Hyung Ju Kim from IPK.

Visit from Mexico

ITAM_010716Two persons from Instituto Technólogico Autónomo de Mexico (ITAM) visited NTNU today. Dr. Juan Carlos Belausteguigoitia, Director for ITAM Center for Energy and Natural Resources and Dr. Christina Wagner Fægri, Professor in the International Studies Department are visiting institutions in Norway this week for discussions of possible research collaboration and student exchange.  From NTNU participated Olav Bjarte Fosso, Egil Tjåland and Jon Kleppe.
